Besides our CNC, HRD-KORE, and CUSTOM fins, we also produce a range of single fins. Some designs are unique and have been around for many decades.
The different series shown here cover a wide range of capabilities and uses. All are produced in fiberglass with bases to fit standard longboard center boxes. These fins are all handmade; no molded fins are in this range.
For now, only a tiny portion of the designs are shown. More will be added over time.
Single fins can now be purchased directly from this page on each fin series card.
Clicking on one of the cards below will take you to the section of the page for those fins. All fins can now be ordered directly from this page. Navigating to the store to order custom fins is no longer necessary!
NOTE: when purchasing single fins, they are made on a custom basis, these are not stock items, so the standard custom delivery timeframes apply 6 - 8 weeks. These times are often a lot less, but it is safe to assume it will take a while.
This series is the very latest single-fin design that we have released. It is a derivative of our GS design but with a much narrower and more flexible blade.
This series is the latest single-fin design that we have released. It is a derivative of our GS design but with a much narrower and more flexible blade.
It is an excellent fin for responsive looseness while still featuring good hold. It has a reasonable amount of flex, so there is a good pop out of turns. This is an ideal single fin for modern short single-fin board designs, especially the smaller versions. We also do many of these as glass-on fins for that board style.
It also works well in a 2PLUS1 setup when combined with some of our side fin designs, such as the A4C-425 twin or something special H5-400 twin.

The TX is the latest generation of our oldest TS, first made in the early 70s. This series has been through many refinements over the years, including the T2 and T3, finally culminating in the TX.
TX has a more upright body with an elongated upper blade. The design of the body makes it very efficient and the narrowness allows it to be pivotal.
While the upper blade allows the fin to flex, giving it a lot of pop out of turns. Plus, due to the amount of rake, the fin can be surfed much further forward on the board without impacting the holding power.
Being so efficient, the fin does not need to be very big to be effective. While it looks very different than the original TS, it still has many of the same characteristics - speed, pivot, and drive!
It works well as a single fin all by itself but is also great in a 2PLUS1 setup paired with one of our smaller side fins like the A4C-425 or, for a more radical approach, one of the Hammer series (H5).

Combination of the F8-475FT in the front and the F8-400 in the back.
USES Medium QUAD set that can be used in any quad setup when a little more looseness is required due to the reduced overall area. Small to medium size waves. Reversible!
A combination of the F8-450FT in the front and the F8-350 in the back creates a small grom quad setup.
USES Small QUAD set that can be used in any quad setup, typically for a grom or anyone preferring less fin. Small to medium size waves. Reversible!
A combination of the F8-425FT in the front and the F8-500FT in the back.
USES This setup reverses the standard quad with the larger fin in the back. Creates more projection, so good for larger surf.
Combination of the F8-500FT on the sides and the F8-438C for the center fin.
USES Standard thruster setup, good all-around setup. Small to overhead waves.
Combination of the F8-450FT on the sides and the F8-438C center fin for a smaller thruster.
USES Smaller thruster setup for those who like less area. Small to medium size waves.
This is the standard twinzer setup for the F8, utilizing the F8-350 in the front and the F8-550FT in the back.
USES Standard TWINZER fin setup providing lots of drive, speed, and projection. Small to large size waves.
The large F8-550FT twin fin set.
USES Large twin fin setup for more power and drive. Small to large size waves.
This alternate quad combination utilizes the F8-500FT in the front and the H8-400 in the back.
USES Quad setup that provides a lot of drive and increased hold. Small to large size waves.
This series is an extension of the TX design with even more rake and the distinctive Tomahawk tip that helps create more flex and pop out of turns.
The FLX derivative of the TX utilizes a very similar main body, but with a little more sweep, but adds a much more dramatic tip to the upper blade.
By increasing the tip area of the blade, the fin gains more drive, plus the area helps to generate more flex in the fin when pushed.
Most of the characteristics are the same as the TX, but with more flex, increased drive, and hold deep into a turn.

This series is the oldest in our range, it was the first fin we designed and made in 1972! It has had minor tweaks over the years but is still one of the best single fins. The "T" stands for Thumb fin!
Most of our single fins can trace their origins back to this design. It has stood the test of time and is still just as viable as 50 years ago! Hard to believe it has been around that long, but that alone says something about the design.
It features good flex and exceptional holding power due to the amount of rake. The very narrow base allows it to turn on a dime, making it very fast due to reduced drag. Because of the rake, the fin can be ridden much further forward on the board, which also helps it turn well.
It has a smooth, almost "no fin" feel in the water until it is pushed. It then responds with an incredible pop out of turns. In the smaller sizes, it works well in a 2PLUS1 setup but excels as a single fin!
